    Dear Mr Dempster

Publication of “When Should The State Pension Age Increase To 66? – A Call for Evidence”

I refer to the Department’s letter of 24 June, 2010 inviting responses to the above consultation document.

I am appending to this letter NIPSA’s submission in respect of the consultation document.  Within the response NIPSA has commented on the inadequacy of the consultation process, to which I would draw to your attention.

NIPSA is Northern Ireland’s largest trade union with over 46,000 members and in addition raises issues of relevance to former members such as pensions and social security benefits.

    Yours sincerely

    BUMPER GRAHAM

    Assistant General Secretary
