Co-operation Ireland Maracycle 26th to 27th June 2010
03/06/2010
NIPSA’s Global Solidarity Committee is calling on members who are undertaking this year’s maracycle to nominate the NIPSA Developing World Fund as their sponsored charity.
NIPSA’s Developing World Fund was established in 1993. The Fund aims to relieve in any part of the world persons suffering from poverty, sickness or distress, to advance for the public benefit the education of the inhabitants of improvised countries so that their conditions of life may be improved. We do this by supporting projects through our partners Oxfam, Trocaire, War-on-Want and others. Enclosed is a leaflet setting out some of the projects the Fund has supported since its establishment and messages of thanks and endorsement from some of our principal partners. A copy of the leaflet can also be downloaded from the NIPSA website at www.nipsa.org.uk/Home/Global-Solidarity/Fundraising
NIPSA’s Developing World Fund is a unique charity because not a single penny of the money contributed by members goes towards administration fees – l00% of the money donated goes towards the specific self-help projects which NIPSA supports.
If any member is doing the maracycle and will be nominating the NIPSA Developing World Fund as their chosen charity, the NIPSA Global Solidarity Committee would like to hear from you. Please forward your contact details to Karen Barrett at NIPSA HQ on 028 9066 1831 or by e-mail at karen.barrett@nipsa.org.uk
