Proposed Closure of Library Headquarters, Ballynahinch

As members will be aware NIPSA met with Libraries Management on Thursday last, 25 February, to discuss the ongoing situation regarding the proposed closure of Library Headquarters, Ballynahinch.



World Book Day: Protest

To coincide with World Book Day on 4 March 2010, NIPSA has organised a protest outside Andersonstown Leisure Centre at 3.30pm – 4.00pm.



Libraries Campaign: Update from First Consultation Meetings
05 February 2010

As members will be aware the first 2 public consultation meetings took place in Finaghy and Cregagh Libraries on Wednesday night. While the public had very little notice of these meetings NIPSA can report that the Cregagh meeting was exceptionally well attended with approximately 100 people present.



Public Consultation Dates Released
25 January 2010

Following several requests from NIPSA, Libraries NI have now released the dates of the public consultation meetings in relation to the above Review. Libraries NI have also confirmed they are extending the consultation period from 8 to 12 weeks.
