Registration Staff : Proposed Staffing Cuts

I am attaching for the attention of NIPSA members in the Registration Service a copy of my letter of today to the Deputy Registrar General complaining about the failure to consult and engage on proposed staffing cuts in the service.

I would be grateful if you would ensure that this correspondence is brought to the attention of all NIPSA members working in the Registration Service. In addition, could you also arrange to nominate a member from the Registration Service in each of the twenty-six Councils to sit on an ad-hoc Registrars Panel. It would also be helpful if copies of the GRO letter of 8 July 2010 could be forwarded to me.
Details of the Ad-Hoc Registration Panel nominee should be forwarded to Alison Leckey at NIPSA Headquarters (alison.leckey@nipsa.org.uk) providing name, e-mail address, telephone number and correspondence address.
A further circular will be issued upon receipt of a response to the enclosed letter from GRO.
